Kenny Britt was back on the practice field for limited action, but admits he is probably a long shot to play in the preseason opener Saturday night against the Minnesota Vikings.
“It's safe to say that (I'm a long shot) right now, but I'm feeling better and if they want me to go on Saturday,” Britt said.
Britt did some work in individual drills, his first action of training camp because of a right hamstring injury he tweaked about a week before camp opened.. “Today I felt good running out there. I'm not 100 percent, but I'm getting there. There's a little discomfort, but we've got a great training staff and I'll be 100 percent in no time soon,” Britt said.
The work Britt did might not look like much, but it was a start that he was pleased with.
“Actually they wanted me to do less. They wanted me to do five-yard routes and things like that, nothing over five yards. But I actually ran a couple of 16-yard routes, 14-yard routes and a little comeback. I'm working on getting my feet right and making sure I come back healthy,” he said.
