McCarthy ruled out against Lions

The Tennessee Titans will be without middle linebacker Colin McCarthy for the second week in a row this Sunday when they host the Detroit Lions.

McCarthy suffered an ankle injury against the New England Patriots in the season opener and has not practiced or played since.

“McCarthy is going to be out until next week,” Titans coach Mike Munchak said, hoping that McCarthy can return for next week's road game against AFC South rival Houston.

Tackle Mike Otto, who had a little soreness in his right knee, which was scoped at the end of preseason, also sat out Friday's practice to rest. He is listed as questionable for the game against the Lions.

Linebacker Zach Brown (knee), guard Leroy Harris (knee) and defensive tackle Mike Martin (foot) are probable for Sunday. Running back Javon Ringer (elbow) and defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks (knee) are questionable.
