MOBILE, Ala. _ Multiple sources confirmed to TitanInsider that Dave McGinnis will leave his spot as the Tennessee Titans senior assistant and join Jeff Fisher's initial staff with the St. Louis Rams.
McGinnis will be an assistant head coach with the Rams. He first joined the Titans in 2004 as linebackers coach and likely will coach linebackers for Fisher in St. Louis.
Asked about the matter, Mike Munchak said at the Senior Bowl that he could not comment until he spoke to McGinnis and the news became official. Munchak did say that McGinnis' contract with the Titans is up, freeing him to join Fisher in St. Louis.
It is not immediately known if the Titans will fill McGinnis' spot on the staff or not, since it was most an an advisory role to Munchak in his first season at the helm.
Another coach with Titans ties appears St. Louis bound as well, as Steve Jackson, who was recently let go as safeties coach in Washington, may be on the verge of joining Fisher with the Rams.
