Veteran defensive end Dave Ball, who has found a home with the Tennessee Titans, will return for a fifth season with the team, agreeing to a one-year deal worth just more than $1.2 million.
Ball, who came to the Titans as a street free agent in 2008, was in talks to return to the Titans, as TitanInsider reported last week and said he wanted to get a deal done before Tennessee's off-season program began. Tennessee's off-season work is now set to begin April 23, meaning Ball will be a full participant in the program.
Ball has 15.5 career sacks, all coming since he joined the Titans, and has been a valuable part of the defensive line rotation.
With Ball back in the fold, it gives Tennessee a veteran presence to go with recent free-agent signee Kamerion Wimbley, former first-round pick Derrick Morgan and another newcomer Leger Douzable at the end position.
