Charges dropped against Britt

Kenny Britt

Charges of falsifying information on his driver's license application have been dropped against Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt.

Britt was charged with two counts in the matter related to his attempt to obtain a Tennessee driver's license back in April and the Tennessee Highway Patrol issued two arrest warrants in the matter.

Britt appeared in Davidson County General Sessions Court on Tuesday where he was informed that the charges were no longer being pursued.

The dropping of the charges appeared to be a formality since Britt had had an administrative hearing in September regarding the matter and had his driving privileges reinstated at that time.

"Since he had had the administrative hearing and had his driving privileges reinstated, there was no reason for us to pursue the charges anymore," said Susan Niland with the Metro Nashville District Attorney's Office.
