Wednesday injuries: Ford, Otto, Brown out

Defensive end Jacob Ford sat out Wednesday's practice with a sprained knee and a sprained ankle.

Ford suffered the injuries in the third quarter of Sunday's 19-11 loss to Pittsburgh and did not return to the game. Though Ford said he wants to play Sunday, his injury likes opens the door for William Hayes, who has missed the first two games with a knee sprain himself, to return to the defensive line rotation.

Otto continues to miss time as he returns from arthroscopic knee surgery during the preseason, while Tony Brown has been getting Wednesdays off as he rests his surgically repaired right knee.
