Tennessee Titans running back Javon Ringer says he wasn't scared about the infection in his elbow that landed him in the hospital for four days until he was told that he could have lost his left arm.

“I was OK until I heard that I could have lost my arm. That kind of let me know that, wow, this is kind of serious,” said Ringer who was admitted to the hospital on Saturday night and was not discharged until Wednesday.
Now, he is wearing a suction apparatus that draws the infection from the elbow, something he will have to have on until Monday.
As for how it happened, “I have no clue. They said I probably had a little scratch on my elbow and somehow it just got infected.”
Ringer obviously won't play Sunday against the San Diego Chargers.
Also out are linebacker Colin McCarthy, who has a right ankle injury and tackle Mike Otto, recovering from surgeries on his right hand and right knee.
Receiver Nate Washington did not practice for the third straight day with a leg contusion. He will be listed as questionable and will be a game-time decision. Washington could be limited in how much he will play.
Also, Kenny Britt, in his first game back from ACL surgery, is listed as questionable but should play 15 to 25 snaps.
Quarterback Jake Locker is listed as questionable, but is expected to play. Defensive tackle Sen'Derrick Marks is questionable with a right MCL sprain, but practiced with a brace and should play.
Guard Leroy Harris is probable with a sore knee.
