Wide receiver Kenny Britt was walking with a limp in the locker room and had an MRI as well.
But according to Coach Mike Munchak, getting an image of the knee is something Britt does every week on his surgically repaired leg. Munchak was hopeful that Britt would play, as was the receiver.
“He gets an MRI every week. He had one last week two. We're trying to watch his reps. You'll see us alternating reps, so it's not too much. You'll see us alternating him in and out. Dave (Ragone) is down on the sideline making sure we don't overwork him because it's easy to do,” Munchak said of Britt.
Britt said he landed on the knee wrong a couple of times on Sunday causing some pain.
“I landed on it a couple of times yesterday,” Britt said. “They just wanted to check it out and make sure. … I'll definitely be out there this week and I'll definitely be playing on Sunday.”
Munchak said he knows Britt is frustrated by the limited role his knee has forced him to take on.
“He's used to performing at a high level, and he's trying to work his way back to that, and that's hard to do. It's not easy to do. It's a process,” Munchak said.
