Wide receiver Kenny Britt, who suffered a torn ACL and torn MCL against the Denver Broncos on Sept. 25, says he will be back well before the start of the 2012 regular season, as he began his rehab work this week.
“I'll definitely be back way before then. But my goal now is just to get through it and keep my focus on what I need to do and make sure and maintain that I'm all right,” Britt said.
Britt, who was off to the best start of his young career with 17 catches for 289 yards in just three games, has been riding the stationary bike and has been walking some without his protective brace..
“It's just a whole bunch of months of just training. Just Monday I just started riding the bike. It took a while for me to get over the hump,” Britt said. “There were just more half cycles. As we went along, I had the seat real high, it was probably on level 12 and I got it down to probably level seven, which is real hard to do in a day or two. I'm sure I'll have good days and bad days. It gets stiff on me in the morning, but I just go and rehab and workout and loosen it up, and now I'm walking around without my brace.”
Britt said the frustrating part is watching the Titans move on this season without him.
“How I started out and how we started off as a team, and now I can't help out, it's kind of aggravating,” he said.
