MOBILE, Ala. _ Tennessee Titans vice president of player personnel Lake Dawson will be staying put and is no longer under consideration for the St. Louis Rams general manager's position, according to sources.
Dawson was recently promoted to the player personnel role when Ruston Webster was named general manager and Mike Reinfeldt became the Titans' COO, but was apparently still in the mix to potentially join former Titans coach Jeff Fisher in St. Louis.
But now the Rams have moved in a different direction, and Dawson will stay with the Titans in his new role.
Dawson will also still maintain a hand in the pro personnel department, the role he had prior to being promoted.
While Dawson is staying with the Titans, the Rams, according to sources, may be latching on to a former Titans executive. Rich Snead, who had spent time with the Rams and Raiders after leaving Tennessee is said to be potentially rejoining the St. Louis organization in some sort of front office capacity.
