Blount claimed by Buccaneers

Running back LeGarrette Blount was picked up by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a day after the Titans let him go from their 53-man roster.
Blount was originally on the Titans' 53-man roster Saturday, having beaten out Samkon Gado for a roster spot, but was released on Sunday as the Titans had to clear two spots for waiver pickups Tim Shaw and Patrick Bailey. Linebacker Stanford Keglar was also released.

Blount finished the preseason with 118 yards on 31 carries and scored a pair of touchdowns, and showed an ability to make yards after contact.

The undrafted rookie, who was suspended for most of his final season at Oregon, was considered by the Titans to need work in areas such as blitz pickup and also lacked any special teams experience.
