Titans coach Jeff Fisher said that linebacker David Thornton held up well in his two bye week practices after coming off the physically unable to perform list.
Thornton, who had hip surgery during the off-season, will have two more weeks to show the Titans he is ready to return as a backup linebacker or go on injured reserve.
“The encouraging thing with David was he practiced both days,” Fisher said. “He worked again on Thursday and did well and felt well. He didn’t have any setbacks, so this will be week two for him. This will be a long week for him, so we’ll try and get him out there for at least two, maybe three days and see how he responds.”
