Titans let go of Zernhelt

The Tennessee Titans on Tuessday fired tight ends coach John Zernhelt, who had been with the club for seven seasons.

Zernhelt came to the Titans in 2006 after spending the 2005 season with the New York Jets and more than two decades coaching in the college ranks.

Under Zernhelt, the Titans drafted and developed tight ends Craig Stevens and Jared Cook into solid contributors.
