When the Tennessee Titans waived Jake Ingram on Thursday at the end of mini-camps, it left only Beau Brinkley on the squad as a long snapper.
Long-time Titans long snapper Ken Amato is a free agent and to date has not been signed by any team.
Amato’s agent Robert Huebner indicated that he has still not yet heard from the Titans, but that Amato is still in wait-and-see mode, regarding his future.
“Kenny loves it there in Nashville and we are waiting to see what happens,” Huebner said.
Amato is hopeful of hearing from the Titans perhaps soon. At this point, the Titans don't appear to be inclined to bring him back. Brinkley has apparently made a strong impression thus far.
If Brinkley continues to do well, then Amato could be in a position to see how the long snapping jobs shape up around the NFL in other training camps to find a job.
