The Tennessee Titans still have an open completion at quarterback, but it seems Matt Hasselbeck has pulled ahead in the competition, for now.
Hasselbeck finished 9 for 9 Thursday night in a team drill, while Locker went 1 for 10 with an interception.
This happens to be the second practice in a row that Hasselbeck has had an arm up on Locker, and some are starting to wonder if the pressure is starting to get to the second-year pro.
"You tell those guys not to press it to much." Coach Mike Munchak said, "I really don't pay to much attention to it because a lot of it is stuff going on out here, like the way guys are running routes, there are a lot of factors to take in.
“If the guys aren't hitting what they want then obviously they start to press a little bit, but that is something that happens in this league." Munch continued, "We are in training camp, There are a lot of ups and downs, he'll (Locker) will be fine."
The numbers may be ugly at the moment, the last couple of days have clearly not been Locker's best. However, like Munchak said, this is training camp, and both quarterbacks will have their ups and downs.
I seem to remember a couple of days ago Locker was already crowned the starter and Hasselbeck was washed up and ready to hold the clipboard.
Don't push the panic button yet, it's going to be a long summer.
