All that talk about Tennessee Titans coach Mike Munchak contacting Penn State about its football coaching vacancy, is just that. Talk and nothing more.
“You can't believe what you hear, I guess, huh?” Munchak joked, when a reporter said he figured Munchak would have been on his way to Happy Valley today.
Munchak originally shot down any Penn State talk Nov. 10 when Joe Paterno was first fired, but a story from StateCollege.com once again tried to link his name to his alma mater, saying Munchak had contacted school officials about the vacancy.
“I know that things are going to come up with me because I'm from Penn State because I played football there and graduated from there. It's a natural thing to start wondering. If something changes, you guys will be the first one to know,” Munchak said.
