Week 7 NFL Facts

13 teams currently have at least share of first place, most ever through first 6 weeks; 10 of the 13 teams have at least a share of first place did not win a division in 2009. If that holds true, it will be the most new division winners in a single season.

Players with the most 40+ yard receptions in 2010: Brandon Lloyd (5), DeSean Jackson (4), Mike Wallace (4), Malcom Floyd (3), Jeremy Maclin (3); Active players with the most 40+ yard receptions: Randy Moss (76), Terrell Owens (63), Joey Galloway (51), Chad Ochocinco (39), Santana Moss (38). Broncos wide receiver Brandon Lloyd, leads the NFL in receiving yards (663).

In Week 6, Chicago’s Devin Hester returned a punt 89 yards for a touchdown. It marked the 13th combined kick return touchdown (nine punts, four kickoffs) of his career, tied with Brian Mitchell for the most in NFL annals.

If Hester scores a touchdown on a punt return, he would tie Eric Metcalf for the most in NFL annals with 10. Hester, who has returned two punts for touchdowns this season, owns a share of the NFL record for most punt-return touchdowns in a season with four such scores in 2007.

New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning, who last week became only the second player in franchise history to pass for more than 20,000 yards (Phil Simms), is 19-4 (.826) as a starter in October, has the best record among quarterbacks who began their careers in the Super Bowl era (min. 20 starts).
