Panel Picks: Titans vs Eagles

Terry and I will make our predictions about the upcoming Titans game. Also, we will invite a former player, a member of the media, and a TitanInsider board member to participate.

Darren McFarland from TitanInsider:

Jeff Fisher has never lost to the Philadelphia Eagles (3-0), as the Oilers/Titans head coach; as well as stringing together 11 consecutive wins against NFC foes dating back to October 2007.

The Eagles will be without star wide-out DeSean Jackson, from last week's hit, and more than likely the Titans will not have some of their starters including quarterback Vince Young.

The defensive front for the Titans should be able to apply pressure to Kolb throughout the day, and they will need too because the one thing Philadelphia is good at is scoring (4th overall). Chris Johnson will go over the 100-yard mark for the fifth time this season and Michael Griffin nails down another interception, for the fourth-week in a row, and the Titans hang on for their 5th victory of the season.

FINAL SCORE: TITANS 25 EAGLES 22

Terry McCormick from TitanInsider:

The Titans defense decides it with yet another key turnover or two, thanks to the defensive line winning the battles up front.

FINAL SCORE: TITANS 24 EAGLES 23

This week we have asked former undrafted free agent, from UCLA, wide receiver Drew Bennett. Drew was signed in 2001 by the Titans; he spent the first few seasons on the practice squad before getting his chance to showcase his talents. In 2004, he tied an NFL record by scoring eight touchdowns in a three-game span, including receiving yards in those games of 124, 233 and 160 against Indianapolis, Kansas City and Oakland. He played in Tennessee thru the 2006 season before signing a lucrative free agent deal with the St. Louis Rams in '07.

Drew has been playing a lot of golf, dabbling in some radio, some occasional television spots for Comcast, and racking up the miles traveling. He said to tell all the Titans fans that life is good and he gets back to town from time to time.

It's a home game and Tennessee has been playing well on both sides of the ball. Plus, how can you lose if you have a scrappy white guy wearing the No. 83 ? You can't.......

FINALSCORE: TITANS 24 EAGLES 17

Our Media member this week is Greg Arias. Greg has been heard on WHIN 1010 AM for the last 19 years doing Gallatin High School sports, including the last 6 years as the play by play man for the Green Wave. He also does some freelance writing for the Gallatin News Examiner and the Examiner.com.

DeSean Jackson's absence really helps the Titans and will limit the Eagles offense. Also the Titans pass rush should have a good day against an Eagles line that allows a lot of sacks.

FINAL SCORE: TITANS 21 EAGLES 20

Our TitanInsider board member this week is Jennifer Yates. She can be found on the board as TitanCreek. Jennifer lives in Cookeville, TN and her favorite Titans player, is running back Chris Johnson.

No surprise, CJ has 100+ yards rushing and two scores. Cortland Finnegan gets his first interception of the season in a critical stage of the game. Titans take over division lead after Sunday.

FINAL SCORE: TITANS 27 EAGLES 20
