The Tennessee Titans will bring at least a pair of their own free agents back into the fold today, agreeing to terms with safety Jordan Babineaux and special teams linebacker Patrick Bailey.
The Titans are also working toward a deal with special teams linebacker Tim Shaw.
Babineaux, who came over from Seattle and led the Titans in tackles with 117 tackles, cannot officially re-sign with the Titans until today at 3 p.m. because he signed a veteran minimum deal with the team last year. Babineaux’s new deal is expected to be a multi-year contract.
As for Bailey, his agent, Dr. D.S. Ping indicated that he would have a new
deal in place by the start of free agency which opens today at 3 p.m. CDT. On Monday morning, the Titans announced that Bailey had agreed to an extension.
The Titans also re-signed exclusive rights free agents in guard Fernando Velasco and defensive tackle Malcolm Sheppard.
Bailey has been a key contributor on special teams for the Titans, along with Shaw, who served as special teams captain a year ago.
