Randy Moss said he is hoping to have fun, fit in and help the Tennessee Titans win football games – starting with this Sunday against the Washington Redskins.
Moss will make his home debut as a Titan on Sunday and said he hopes to be loose, but accomplish the task of winning Sunday's game. He was laughing and joking with his new teammates Friday on the practice field as the Titans finished their week of preparation.
“This team already had a great personality before I came. Just being loose and having fun, but also knowing the task at hand and that's going out and winning games. I think these guys really understand that in this locker room,” Moss said. “I think it's good to have fun, because if you don't have fun, this game won't last long to you. I've been able to survive 13 years with having fun, cutting up, making guys laugh and them making me laugh. So it goes hand-in-hand.
“Hopefully like I said, I'm feeling comfortable here and trying to learn the offense, knowing where to lineup. I still have a little problem here and there. But like I said, I just want to go out and help this team win. And we need this win bad. Hopefully we can get it. Like I said, we had a good week of work, and hopefully, it'll pay off.”
Moss said he is prepared for this week after a good week of work with Vince Young, who will be back as the starting quarterback. Kerry Collins, whom Moss played with in Oakland five years ago, is doubtful with a calf injury.
“Kerry and Vince are two different players. We all know that. It's been a great week of work and preparation. Hopefully, what we did out there this week can hopefully pay off on the field on Sunday,” Moss said. “We lost in Miami, and I think guys are disappointed that we did lose that game. Our focus this week is just going out and getting that win. Hopefully, like I said the stuff that we were able to do out there this week will pay off on Sunday.”
