The Tennessee Titans have hired Steve Brown to be their assistant secondary coach.
Brown had been at the University of Kentucky and was one of the candidates TitanInsider reported in its Tipsheet of possibilities to join the staff. He was the Wildcats' co-defensive coordinator but was let go in December.
Brown had been talked about last year as a possible fit on the coaching staff, but Marcus Robertson was retained as secondary coach and he brought in Curtis Fuller to assist him.
Brown is also a teammate of Coach Mike Munchak's with the Houston Oilers, having played seven years from 1983-90 there.
Brown also was on the St. Louis Rams' staff in 1999 when the Rams defeated the Titans in Super Bowl XXIV.
