Panel Picks: Titans-Redskins

Terry and I will make our predictions about the upcoming Titans game. Also, we will invite a former player, a member of the media, and a TitanInsider board member to participate.

DARREN McFARLAND from TitanInsider:

The Titans have dropped two in a row and have looked bad in the process. The good news for them is they currently hold the record for the longest interconference winning streak in the NFL at 12 games over the NFC.

I don't care what anybody says; This is a MUST WIN for Tennessee. No ifs, ands or buts about it. Lose to a lousy Washington team at home and we're supposed to buy this team will turn it around in the final six games? They might be selling but I won't be buying. I'll start talking draft position for 2011.

Randy Moss gets his first touchdown as a Titan, at his first home game, and makes history doing it. Jared Cook makes the best of his opportunity with Stevens out, and scores a touchdown.

FINAL SCORE: TITANS 30 REDSKINS 17

TERRY McCORMICK from TitanInsider:

No one wants to use the term "must win," but for both teams Sunday is a must-win situation. The Titans should win this game. But then, again they should have beaten weak sisters in Denver and Miami, too.

With Craig Stevens out, the Titans may be harder pressed to get the running game going. They might also have more three-wide looks as they did against Miami. Maybe that means a big day for Randy Moss in his home debut as a Titan.

FINAL SCORE: TITANS 28 REDSKINS 21

Every week now, we are pleased to have former 'Bookend' Left Tackle from the Oilers/Titans BRAD HOPKINS join Panel Picks. B-Hop is my co-host Monday through Friday on the "Afternoon Pressbox" from Noon till 3:00pm on 560AM WNSR. Hopkins was a 1st round pick (13th overall) in 1993. He played 13 seasons making the Pro Bowl twice in 2000 and 2003.

What we have here are two teams in a must win, I think the Titans still believe in their ability to make to the post season and they have a brand new toy in Randy Moss who also has something to prove.

FINAL SCORE: TITANS 28 REDSKINS 17

Our Media member this week is VINCE FERRARA from the Sports Animal in Knoxville, TN.

He is the host of the News Sentinel Sports Page show (Mon.-Fri.) from 10:00am till Noon. I join Vince every Tuesday morning at 10:30 ET to talk Titans and TitanInsider news and notes.

Ferrara has also been the voice of Alabama baseball over the years and has currently served as the UAB football color commentator and women's basketball play-by-play man.

"With the lack of chemistry on this Redskins team, I don't see how the season can turn around for them starting this week. The 'Skins have been exposed for not having enough talent nor good enough leadership top to bottom. Randy Moss gets loose this week. Titans will control throughout."

FINAL SCORE: TITANS 30 REDSKINS 13

This week's board member is MIKE STRASINGER. Mike is a professional photographer and Publisher of SportsNashville.net. He provided TitanInsider with the latest Randy Moss pictures used on the site. He can be seen all around Middle Tennessee at any sporting event shooting pictures for SportsNashville.net. He's scary to look at but a really nice guy.

"Time for the Titans to play a complete game. Young, Moss, Johnson (The Titans Triplets) too much for weak Redskins defense. They are poor against the run and worse against the pass. Redskins offense is average and Titans should do well. 'Sack Attack' gets back on track for Titans this week. 3 sacks or more on McNabb coming."

FINAL SCORE: TITANS 31 REDSKINS 17
