Terry and I will make our predictions about the upcoming Titans game. Also, we will invite a former player, a member of the media, and a TitanInsider board member to participate.
DARREN McFARLAND from TitanInsider:
Jeff Fisher is 9-6 all-time coming off a bye week and 3-6 against the Dolphins. Fisher has collected only one victory in Miami since being a head coach.
Making a quarterback change in week 10 of an NFL season, not due to injury, is a little alarming to me. Enter Chad Pennington and exit Chad Henne. While Pennington has had success over his career, the former first-round pick in 2000 is getting thrown into an awkward spot.
The bye week came at a good time for the Titans for several reasons. The acquisition of Randy Moss and getting some bodies back healthy or should I say healthier, like Tony Brown for example. I think Collins gets the start and leads the Titans to another road victory.
FINAL SCORE: TITANS 27 DOLPHINS 20
TERRY McCORMICK from TitanInsider:
The Titans get their new toy, Randy Moss, involved early and take a road win. Miami is in a bit of disarray with the panic move of benching Chad Henne at QB.
FINAL SCORE: TITANS 31 DOLPHINS 21
Every week now, we are pleased to have former 'Bookend' Left Tackle from the Oilers/Titans BRAD HOPKINS join Panel Picks. B-Hop is my co-host Monday through Friday on the "Afternoon Pressbox" from Noon till 3:00pm on 560AM WNSR. Hopkins was a 1st round pick (13th overall) in 1993. He played 13 seasons making the Pro Bowl twice in 2000 and 2003.
"It has been 'Feast or Famine' for the Titans running game. Randy (Moss) is still somewhat limited but respected by defenses; so it should be a GREAT opportunity for CJ to make a statement. Controlling the clock keeps a potential spark plug like (Chad) Pennington on the sidelines."
FINAL SCORE: TITANS 27 DOLPHINS 17
This week we have asked former Titans Guard ZACH PILLER. Piller played his college ball at the University of Florida, under Steve Spurrier, where he won a National Championship in 1996. Zach played for the Titans from 1999 to 2006, including experiencing the run to the Super Bowl his rookie year.
"Chris Johnson will rush for 140 yards and two scores, and No.84 (Moss) will have a touchdown reception making him the first player in NFL history to do so with three different teams in the same season."
FINALSCORE: TITANS 31 DOLPHINS 17
Our Media member this week is MIKE RODGERS from News Channel 5 Sports.
Rodgers came to Nashville after covering the Dallas sports scene for 8 years.
He began his sports broadcasting career in Sherman, Texas, at the CBS affiliate KXII. One of his first assignments was covering the Dallas Stars run at the Stanley Cup Championship in the spring of 1999.
His next stop was at CW33 in Dallas, where he was a sports anchor and reporter. During that time Rodgers covered the rise of the Dallas Mavericks and the fall of the Cowboys dynasty.
After a two-year stint in Philadelphia as the host of Comcast Sportsnet's "Sportrise" , Mike returned to Dallas to began his sports talk radio career as a member of the 1080 KRLD sports team and helped launch the new flagship station of the Dallas Cowboys, 105.3 "The Fan."
Originally from Pennsylvania, Mike is proud to call Tennessee his new home. In his free time, this former Temple University college baseball player still enjoys a trip to the batting cages.
"I'm still not sure Vince (Young) will be at 100%, and the team could be caught up in the Randy Moss hype this week."
FINAL SCORE: DOLPHINS 27 TITANS 20
This week's board member is Chris Hiler. Chris loves the move to get Moss, especially keeping him from the Colts, with still 5 division games remaining on the schedule. He can't wait for Britt to get back so the Titans can showcase No.'s 28, 84 and 18 on the field at the same time.
FINAL SCORE: TITANS 34 DOLPHINS 21
