As he anticipated, cornerback Cortland Finnegan was fined $5,000 for his personal foul penalty in Sunday's victory over the New York Giants.
Finnegan indicated that he will appeal the fine for the second week in a row.
Finnegan was fined for the second consecutive week and reiterated what he told TitanInsider after Sunday's game that he believes he is a target of officials.
“I think it does. Referees know certain guys before [the game starts] Sometimes that can work against a guy when he's not doing anything,” Finnegan said. “He's overly targeted. It is what it is. I'm gonna play the way I play, and if we keep getting a FedEx every week and we win ballgames, I could really care less about a FedEx.”
Finnegan said he doesn't regret admitting that he would like to be atop the NFL's dirtiest player poll.
“To say that is more like comedy. It's something to have fun with. It's not like I'm cheap shotting a guy. … When you say 'dirtiest,', it's a form of respect.”
