Tennessee Titans general manager Ruston Webster said he is optimistic that a new deal can be worked out to retain safety Jordan Babineaux.
Babineaux signed a one-year deal with Tennessee after the lockout ended and wound up leading the Titans with 117 tackles.
“I am optimistic with him. It is important,” Webster said. “He came in and started a bunch of games for us last year, and he wants to be here. We feel like he wants to be here.”
The Titans are also still in contract talks with defensive lineman Jason Jones and special teams linebackers Tim Shaw and Patrick Bailey on extensions as well.
