Mike Heimerdinger called plays for quarterback Kerry Collins.
Titans offensive coordinator Mike Heimerdinger, who was away receiving chemotherapy treatments for cancer early in the week, called the offensive plays from the coaches' box in Sunday's 17-6 loss to Jacksonville.
Heimerdinger returned to practice on Friday, and on Sunday sent his calls to quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains, who was on the sideline and relayed the call to quarterback Kerry Collins.
"Dowell sent the play to the quarterback. Mike called the game from upstairs," Titans coach Jeff Fisher said.
Collins said there were no problems getting the plays to him.
"I didn't feel there were any problems with it," he said. "I felt like we had good stuff coming into it. There were plays out there to be made that we just didn't make."
