The Tennessee Titans continue to add to their ranks, agreeing to one-year contracts with wide receiver Kevin Walter and offensive lineman Chris Spencer.
Walter, former of the Houston Texans, joins the Titans after having 41 catches for 518 yards and two touchdowns a year ago. He had spent the last seven seasons in Houston and had four 50-catch seasons on his resume'. His career totals include 356 receptions for 4,379 yards and 25 touchdowns. He spent the last seven seasons with the Houston Texans (2006-12) after playing three years in Cincinnati (2003-05).
He figures into the mix as a slot receiver and can play on the outside as well.
“Both Kevin and Chris are established veterans in this league who have a great deal of starting experience,” Titans general manager Ruston Webster said. “They have made significant contributions on good teams during their careers. We feel like they can come in and provide increased competition at their respective positions for us.”
Spencer comes to the Titans from the Chicago Bears, where he played the past two years. He spent the previous six seasons with the Seattle Seahawks and continues to bolster the depth and competition at the center and guard positions for Tennessee.
In addition to that, the Titans hosted LSU defensive end Barkevious Mingo at Baptist Sports Park on Monday as well.
