Assistant London to join Penn State

Tennessee Titans offensive quality control assistant Charles London will be leaving the team to take a spot on Bill O'Brien's staff when he becomes head coach at Penn State.

The move will take place once details are ironed out, which should happen shortly after the university makes the hiring of O'Brien official.

"There are some details that still have to be worked out with O'Brien and the univeristy," London said.

London spent one season with the Titans on Mike Munchak's staff and will apparently coach running backs in Happy Valley.

O'Brien interviewed on Thursday to replace legendary coach Joe Paterno, who was fired after 46 seasons in the wake of the Jerry Sandusky sex scandal.

London and O'Brien coached together at Duke University.

O'Brien is currently offensive coordinator of the New England Patriots.
