The Tennessee Titans confirmed via Twitter that they held a Saturday morning workout with Peyton Manning.
Manning, according to Titans general manager, looked sharp in his throwing, and his comments looked very similar to the comments made by their chief competition, the Denver Broncos and John Elway on Friday.
"This morning we traveled to Knoxville and had a workout with Peyton. I thought he looked comfortable...throwing the ball and we had a good visit. This is another important step in the process.” Webster said via the Titans Twitter feed.
The first-hand look at Manning comes after the Titans are believed to have viewed video of his throwing sessions at Duke University in Durham, N.C., under the tutelage of Blue Devils coach and Manning confidante David Cutcliffe. Cutcliffe was Manning's offensive coordinator at the University of Tennessee and was his brother Eli's coach at Ole Miss.
The Titans are one of three teams in the sweepstakes to land Manning, who was released by the Indianapolis Colts on March 7.
According to NFL Network, Manning's final decision on which team he will play for in 2012 could come on Monday or Tuesday.
