Tennessee Titans defensive end Jacob Ford suffered a sprain when he injured his right knee in Sunday's 19-11 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, but the damage does not appear to be serious.
Ford said he took a hit from a Steelers lineman as he was trying to turn the corner in his pass rush, a play where Derrick Morgan and Tony Brown were credited with a sack against Charlie Batch.
Ford was unable to finish the game, and if the Titans need to give him time out of practice or a game off to heal, they have William Hayes, who should be ready to return from his sprained MCL after missing all of preseason and the first two games. Hayes was a full participant in practices last week, but was held out of the game with Pittsburgh.
Coach Jeff Fisher said Monday that Ford has not yet been ruled out for Sunday's road game against the New York Giants.
