The Tennessee Titans have fired head athletic trainer Brad Brown, according to sources familiar with the situation.
Brown, who had been with the organization for 28 years, was one of the last remaining links to the franchise's days as the Houston Oilers, having moved to Tennessee with the franchise in 1997.
As the head athletic trainer, Brown was responsible for helping to oversee the treatment of injuries.
Brown's replacement will come via an outside hire, according to a source. A move will likely need to be made soon as evaluations and physicals for draft hopefuls begin on Feb. 19 at the annual Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
