Source: Titans to meet with Tice

The Tennessee Titans are planning to speak to Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Mike Tice, according to a source.

The Chicago Tribune spoke to Tice, who denied that he is meeting with the Titans.
However, the source indicated that Tice was en route to Nashville to speak to the Titans.

The Titans had some interest in Tice in 2011, but the Bears denied him permission to interview for the job after Mike Munchak first took over as Tennessee's head coach.

Tice is still under contract to the Bears, but might be able to get out of any contract there after head coach Lovie Smith was fired on Monday. Any new coach would probably want the opportunity to bring in a new coach.

Dowell Loggains finished up as the Titans offensive coordinator this season for the final five games after Chris Palmer was fired. Loggains might still be retained as the offensive coordinator for the 2013 season.
