Walker top target to replace Mouton

With Ryan Mouton lost for the season, the Tennessee Titans are searching for a veteran replacement to help with depth behind their top three corners.

One of the first places the Titans are looking is with former Baltimore Ravens and Minnesota Vikings cornerback Frank Walker. Walker has also played for the New York Giants and Green Bay Packers in an eight-year NFL career.

Walker worked out for the Titans last year before signing with the Vikings.

Sources indicate to TitanInsider that the Titans have reached out to Walker and told him that he is under consideration as a potential replacement for Mouton.

Walker is Tennessee's top target as a replacement for Mouton.

Mouton suffered an Achilles injury Tuesday night in practice and will undergo season-ending surgery.

The Titans have little experience behind Cortland Finnegan, Jason McCourty and Alterraun Verner.

Walker is expected to arrive in Nashville tonight to take a physical on Thursday morning. Barring any snags, a deal should be completed to bring Walker on board Thursday.

Other available cornerbacks include Kelvin Hayden, Lido Sheppard and Ashton Youboty, though it is not yet known if the Titans have reached out to any of them.
