The Tennessee Titans are hosting veteran free agent defensive end John Abraham today and Friday.
Abraham would fill a need for Tennessee as a pass rush end, something the Titans have had in short supply the past couple of seasons.
Starting ends Derrick Morgan had 6.5 sacks to lead the team, and Kamerion Wimbley had six sacks. Tennessee drafted LSU's Lavar Edwards in the fifth round last weekend to help with the pass rush as well.
Abraham, who turns 35 on Monday, has had 32.5 sacks the past three seasons, including 10 last year. He visited with the Titans last year, but elected to re-sign with the Atlanta Falcons. There are Titans defensive coaches, however, who believe Abraham could be a good fit on the Tennessee defense as a pass rusher.
Earlier this off-season, the Titans signed defensive end Ropati Pitoitua, but he is regarded as more of a run-stopper. Tennessee hosted Chicago Bears free agent end Israel Idonije on Monday.
