Titans hosting RFA Casillas

The Tennessee Titans are scheduled to host restricted free agent linebacker Jonathan Casillas, according to a report from Adam Caplan.

Casillas came to the Saints as an undrafted rookie in 2009 from the University of Wisconsin and last year made five starts in New Orleans, collecting 43 tackles and three sacks.
As an undrafted rookie, Casillas would require no compensation from the Titans if they signed him to an offer sheet because the Saints tendered him at the lowest level of $1.26 million.

The Titans may be looking to create some competition with Will Witherspoon at the weakside linebacker position. Second-year players Colin McCarthy and Akeem Ayers appear locked in at the other two spots.

In the past few seasons, the Titans have shown a willingness to sign restricted free agents with no compensation to offer sheets. They lured Chris Carr away from Oakland in 2008, and in 2010 attempted to land Jarrett Bush from the Packers, but Green Bay matched the offer.
