Veteran wide receiver Justin Gage will be released by the Tennessee Titans, according to a league source.
Gage, who joined the Titans in 2007 as a free agent from the Chicago Bears, was scheduled to make $3.5 million in base salary this season, but had fallen far down the Titans depth chart since the end of last season.
Gage caught 20 passes last season, but his playing time had decreased as training camp and preseason progressed. He caught just one pass, that one coming in the finale Thursday night in New Orleans.
Gage's best season as a Titan came in his first year in Tennesee in '07 when he caught 55 passes.
The Titans also let go of receiver Kevin Curtis, who was released. Curtis joined the team last week and the club had hoped to give him an extended look in New Orleans, but a broken bone in his hand thwarted that.
Ford had more sacks (15.5) than any Titan in the past three seasons, but had also had issues with injuries. A hamstring injury in camp led him to being waived/injured.
Fuller had been a mainstay in the Titans secondary for several years as a nickelback until losing that role last season.
Safety Robert Johnson appears to have been released as well, tweeting "Everything happens for a reason ... One day at a time."
Cornerback Frank Walker, who tweeted that he is no longer a Titan, was released, his agent confirmed as well.
