The Tennessee Titans brought back veteran linebacker Zac Diles on Wednesday and waived wide receiver Michael Preston to make room.
Diles was with the Titans last year, playing in six games, but landed on injured reserve with a broken ankle He signed with the Kansas City Chiefs in the off-season, but was let go in final cuts.
Diles, a former seventh-round draft choice of the Houston Texans, helps the Titans at the linebacker position, one that has been thinned out by injuries. Starting middle linebacker Moise Fokou injured his knee in Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Linebackers Zaviar Gooden and Patrick Bailey were both out with hamstring injuries last week as well.
Preston, who has spent most of the past two seasons on the Titans practice squad, made the 53-man roster this season and has seen limited duty this season as Tennessee’s sixth receiver. He has one reception for four yards this season.
