The Tennessee Titans have signed linebacker Gary Guyton to a one-year contract.
Tennessee has had a rash of injuries at the linebacker position during camp as Colin McCarthy (hamstring), Greg Jones (ankle) and Zaviar Gooden (ankle) are all out of action with injuries.
Guyton played four seasons with the New England Patriots and spent last year with three teams - Miami, Dallas and San Diego.
"I got a call yesterday evening to come here, and I was more than happy to be on my way," Guyton said. "I was at home in Atlanta, Georgia, so I drove up."
Guyton said he just hopes to come in at this late juncture of camp and make an impression.
"They told me just to come in here and compete, so that's what I intend to do," he said.
