I left Fisher's press conference today and said to a handfull of media that I just witnessed a coach firing a player without coming out and saying it. Vince has played his last game for the Titans.

Rusty is a great guy and the future may be bright down the road but you're right, he's not ready for this spot just yet. Unfortunately, they don't have a choice anymore.

There is blame to be placed on VY in this, given his immaturity. But the coaching staff and especially Fisher have to shoulder their share of the burden as well. If you are going to run a country club type of locker room, you have to have players who are self-starters and accountable to each other and the coaches. Those types of guys walked out the door in the off-season with Mawae, KVB and Bulluck.

I would have to disagree on the media ignoring or as you say "neglecting" this whole situation. Fisher, in a subtle way, was trying to steer me clear of writing the article last week on Vince staying behind in Miami after the Dolphins game but I went with it anyway. I don't think we've given him a pass at all. Fisher does NOT like for the Titans dirty laundry to be aired but you have been reading about their problems all season long. That's the beauty of TitanInsider. We're like a marriage; Through thick and thin, in the good times and the bad times Terry and I will try always to keep everything Objective.
