3) Stephen Tulloch is the defensive and emotional leader
4) Teams don't throw toward Alterraun Verner
5) Marc Mariani will make the team with special teams play
6) Damian Williams will be a great player
7) Certain players are showing how much they want to be on this team. (video)
8) Jason Jones is the most disruptive defensive tackle we've had since Albert Haynesworth
9) The Titans will blitz a lot more this year
10) The Titans defense will be a lot better this year than they were last year.

I kind of got the impression that Cecil called a lot of those blitzes to see what his young guys (McCourty/Verner) could do on the outside on an island. Of course, I agree that we will see more blitzes than in previous years and hope they execute them as well as they seemed to tonight.
basic fundamentals of the game that sometimes get lost along the way...but last night the titans swarmed to the ball carrier and had quite a few tackles for losses and kept short passes across the middle to a minimum gain in the first 3 quarters of the game.
defense definitely looks like it will be much improved from last year. encouraging.
