Anyone else surprised that Leinart got released?

  • He just doesn't have the arm strength to run the Arizona offense the way it needs to be run, giving guys a chance for yards after catch. He probably needs to be in a straight West Coast offense to succeed, because that will help disguise the lack of arm strength.

  • I'm not surprised that he got released but I would not of released him. It's not like he was holding Kurt Warner back from being the starter. If seen Derek Anderson play many times and he is not a starting QB. He had 1 good year but if you remember he almost got booted in cleveland before the start of that season.

    I would have given Leinart a chance to atleast start the season and see how he progresses from week to week. If he truly is hurting the team cut him at the end of the year and they will be in a position to get the QB of the future. Derek Anderson is not the answer long term!
