After the game, LeGarrette Blount walked in to Jeff Fisher's office and shook the coach's hand.
After all, it had been a trying week for Blount after a training camp fight created national attention and caused him to have to revisit the whole incident against Boise State that got the former Oregon star suspended last year.
But in the fourth quarter of Monday night's game, Blount got back to doing what he does best. Running the football.
Blount led the Titans with 42 yards on nine rushes against Arizona, much better than the opener when it took him three tries to score from the 1-yard line against Seattle.
“I wanted to show them that I could do way more than what I showed last week, with me not being able to carry the ball as much as I wanted to. I got a chance to carry it way more tonight and I made some progress,” Blount said.
Blount's chief competition for the third running back spot, newly signed Samkon Gado, also did well, scoring a pair of short yardage TDs.
