Britt Salutes VY

  • Kenny Britt made his first appearance back into the lineup, since tearing his hamstring in San Diego on Oct. 31.

As seen here by TitanInsider photographer Jay Richardson, Britt decided he had a message for the national television audience and his teammate Vince Young.

The towel says "#10 VY" in honor of the quarterback who is on injured reserve after a thumb injury and subsequent locker room tirade after a loss to Washington on Nov. 21.

Britt wore the towel in the first half but was seen wearing a clean white towel in the second half. A league official, in the pressbox, said that Kenny Britt should expect at least a $10,000 fine from the NFL this week. Word was sent down from that official instructing Britt to remove the VY tribute towel.

Fullback Ahmard Hall was asked after the game what he thought of Britt's message, and he said he never saw the towel, so he couldn't comment on it.

Britt, along with Randy Moss, Justin Gage and Nate Washington, did not speak with reporters after the game.

He finished the night with four catches for 39 yards, and was targeted eight times by quarterback Kerry Collins.

Britt did have a critical fumble at the start of the second quarter, that led to the Colts second score and the 14-0 lead.

  • I'm sure Fisher loved that (not that I disagree with Kenny).

  • So according to the league throwing three punches at a helmetless player is equivalent to wearing two and a half towels with #10 VY written on it... Sometimes I don't understand the NFL...

The NFL's fine system is definitely out of whack.
