Kenny Britt might not have escaped the evil eye of his coaches for his kick of a football into the stands Monday night, but he will escape any punishment from the NFL.
The league office informed TitanInsider.com that Britt will not be fined for kicking a ball into the crowd after he dropped a pass against the Arizona Cardinals.
Britt was frustrated after a Kerry Collins pass hit off his hands. He then kicked at the ball and launched
it much farther than he intended to.
“I wasn't intending to do that, but my toe hit the ball exactly in the middle and it just took off like a rocket. I didn't even want to go back to my own sideline,” he said after the game.
Despite avoiding the fine, Britt said Jeff Fisher and Mike Heimerdinger gave him an angry look when he did come back to the sideline.
“They didn't have do. They gave me the stare of death,” Britt said.
Britt was given a five-yard penalty for delay of game.
