Receiver has been the subject of trade rumors for weeks, though Titans have said they are not shopping him
TitanInsider: Any closer and you'd be in the huddle.
Sorry, I don't see it happening.
PapaTitan keeps it real.
There are a few other players in the same boat as Britt. Like Larry F,Jared Allen,Mikel Leshoure.Expiring or huge contracts next year or just not playing.I would love to send Britt and a late round pick to get Jared Allen.Even if it is only for the rest of the season.Prob never happen.I would hope that Ruston isn't sitting on his hands because we could use some more talent at the right price.
-If someone approached me with a 7th rd draft pick/Britt trade, I would take it.
-Would I give him an extension? If the price was low enough, sure. He hasn't been productive on the field just yet, but he's talented.......and has time to grow up. And although he has done very well to submarine his own career track, he isn't exactly a locker room problem.
I know he's struggled. I also know he's talented. More importantly he's still young and has seen success. Will he ever get back to that? Who's to say. I hope he sticks around after this year because I know what kind of impact he can have.
He has struggled with consistency and concentration his whole career.
He needs some confidence I sure hope he can get on track.
He's only 25.
One sports writer said, "At first the Titans were asking an overly inflated price for Britt. Possibly asking to get back the 3rd rd pick they gave up for Hunter. But they have since dropped their price very, very low. Basically saying, give us a 12 pk of Coke and Athletic Tape and he's yours."
I will be happy with whatever they decide.....except for one. If the Titans sign him to a deal that he's not worth, then I'll be upset.
