  • The Titans have called a 3:30 pm CT press conference to announce the moves. You can catch it online at www.TitansOnline.com.

    Dan Cotton

  • Sounds like a really solid move.

Terry, had this been in the works for awhile?

  • Caught me by surprise. I know nothing about Ruston Webster.

This had been speculated behind the scenes for months. Back to the time when Underwood decided to retire is when I first heard it. I'm sure other teams' wanting Webster as a possible GM hastened the move. I also heard that Munchak really likes Webster.

  • many people may not remember from the old board but i called this move about a year ago. It's not as big of a change as many may think because Ruston Webster has already been in charge of player personel and calling the shots thru the draft and thru FA as well. I am good friends with one of Websters best friends who is on with the tampa bay bucs and he told me this move would probably happen about a year ago. Webster is highly thought of in our organization.

  • I liked hearing Webster talk about the needed changes with the offensive line and the running game.

True, Webster had plenty of input on this year's draft class. If you'll remember, he joined the organization just about a month before the 2010 draft so he didn't really have time to have a lot of input there. But when I broke the story about his being hired, the rumors started shortly thereafter that he would eventually be GM and Reinfeldt would replace Underwood in the big chair.
