I was listening to NFL radio "Moving the Chains" on the ride home today. The hosts are not just media guys, but former coaches, players, and managers. They are incredibly knowledgeable. The mentioned today that one of the reasons why CJ is running so well now is due to Hass. They said that Hass' experience and knowledge of the game allow for check downs and play changes in order to put CJ in the best position to succeed. Strangely enough the stats show that when Hass took over:
Locker starts: CJ averaged 15 yds per game
Hass starts: CJ averages 113 per
The hosts did say that they like Locker and he'll learn the game, but that Hass is just so far ahead in experience at this time.....enough that they would struggle starting Locker when healthy as long as Hass is playing well. They said that we are sitting with a great opportunity to make a Wildcard playoff run right now.
They see us beating the Colts, by the way.
