Brown ready to go, will play about 15 plays

  • TerryMc13

As expected, defensive tackle Tony Brown has been activated from the physically unable to perform (PUP) list and will play Thursday night against the New Orleans Saints.

Brown told TitanInsider last week that he expected to return this week and make his preseason debut this week.

“I’m ready. I don’t know how long I’m going to play, and that don’t even matter to me. I’m just excited to be out there running around pain-free and stress-free,” said Brown, who missed last year’s season finale at Seattle and has spent the off-season rehabbing a right knee that required surgery.

Titans coach Jeff Fisher said Brown could expect to play about the same amount of plays as Derrick Morgan. Morgan, the team’s first-round pick, had missed time with a calf injury all through camp but returned last week and played 15 plays.
