There is no excuse for CJ now. With Mawae on the line CJ averaged 5.2 yds/carry. Since he retired he's averaged 4.2. I don't think that's a coincidence. For the last 3 yrs CJ hasn't had consistent line play. ( and of course he seems to run a little more passive).
Also, this is the best WR corps that CJ has had around him. I don't know for sure how J-Locke will play but my gut tells me that he'll play at least well enough that there are no more excuses for CJ.
I agree. It's refreshing to hear him talk about the team first and not his stats.
