Kuharsky from ESPN brings up a good point about whether or not Stewart is in danger. Me personally, I don't feel he is in danger for this season, but if I'm not mistaken his contract is up next yr........so after coming off a lesser 2012 yr, a significant injury, and whatever happens during the 2013 yr......I can see the Titans going younger for 2014.
Who is one highly drafted or highly paid player from each AFC South team who needs to show something during the remainder of the offseason? Houston
I agree that he wasn't having his best year before he got injured. I think he'll bounce back and be fine. He'll have to be to get an extension.
PapaTitan keeps it real.
I don't think he's in danger, but time will tell.
I just don't know if he'll get an extension. I think Stewart's contract is up next yr and then Roos is the following yr. More than likely, they'll have to choose between the 2. I would say that they will go with the LT. I would tend to believe that they will go with a cheaper veteran or a draft pick to replace Stewart. But as long as he is healthy, it's his job this yr.
I think an extension is 50-50 at best. If they have to decide between the two, I definitely think Roos gets one before Stewart does.
No chance as long as he is healthy. Titans have worked too hard to rebuild the o-line to weaken it by cutting Stewart this year.
TitanInsider: Any closer and you'd be in the huddle.
But that's it. I think he is not in danger this yr, but Winston is no slouch........the difference between Stewart and Winston is minimal, if any. So if they wanted to make a switch and have a longer term contract at RT for about the same price they could get it.
I think Ruston just wants a back up plan if Stewarts surgically repaired broken leg doesn't respond well to a full load. Stewart may not have a step to lose.Lets just hope he returns better than 100%
